Welcome

Welcome to my life. Instead of wasting my time on Facebook reading crazy stories I thought instead I should be blogging my life so my children have some recollection that I actually lived outside of the cyber world. They will appreciate knowing I lived with purpose and they may actually realize one day that all the things I said to them a hundred times (that they forgot) are actually written down forever for their review. How convenient.

Having one teenager, one tweenager and two-20 month old twin boys makes my life quite eventful. I often dream of the day when I will sit around getting a massage and soaking up the sun, but that sounds boring compared to watching the little boys do hilarious antics and learning new words and new discoveries every day. It especially sounds boring in comparison to all the things I am learning homeschooling the girls. Did I actually ever really know this stuff or was my school that bad? I may never know but starting fresh in kindergarten in 2008 and working my way up to 7th grade has been quite a learning process. The girls and I learn something new every day. At this point I can't send them to "school" because my brain would shrivel up and fall out of my head from boredom.

The boys also make sure I am not bored. You never know what is going to come out of the boys mouths or what they are going to climb on or break or punch. Now that our church hosts boxing four times a week, they have learned to punch. Imagine trying to teach two 20 month old boys what is appropriate to punch. They have yet to learn that their mom's face is not for punching.

The boys have been quite different from the girls. The boys punch, climb, bite, jump and are very violent. They throw toys-which the girls never did. They love basketball and any ball that they can hurl across the room. They hold a dolly really nice for five seconds, hug her, then chuck her across the room. They enjoy taking a running jump and landing on me lying on the floor.

The boys work together to get into every closet,  cupboard or drawer and take every last item out for examination. Then when I need to put it all back in its place it is two against one. Needless to say I have come a speed demon at putting things away, as both of them take things out right behind me.

Hopefully this blog will give you some insight into our little family and make you feel like your life is dull and boring and you should try having twins, teenagers, homeschooling and pastoring to make your life more seasoned.
